The Warriors are now two-from-two following an impressive victory in their first home game for 2018, winning 20-8 against the Gold Coast Titans.

MATCH DETAILS

The Titans opened the scoring in the first four minutes, with Michael Gordon kicking a penalty goal; however, this goal was their only points until Anthony Don scored in the 77th minute. In between the Warriors scored 20 straight points to win.

FOUR POINTERS

TITANS MISSED TAYLOR

Earlier in the week, the Gold Coast Titans made an official statement on halfback Ash Taylor, who they ruled out against the Warriors with a hamstring injury that the club didn’t want to aggravate. While Bryce Cartwright filled the position just fine, Taylor’s skills were missed.

COSTLY WARRIORS ERRORS

While the Warriors were dominant throughout the game, their completion rate was low with 11 errors. They had the potential to score plenty more points if they had reduced their error count.

NO LUCK DIDNโ€™T DISHEARTEN TITANSย

The end result could have been different had the Titans been luckier. They had a handful of tries disallowed, though they were resilient and didnโ€™t let the Warriors run away, adding to the overall entertainment value.

WARRIORS SPINE PROVES STRENGTHย

Theย Warriors’ spine demonstrated its strength against the Titans. Shaun Johnson and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck were particularly smart about their play, and both had a try assist in the 12-point win.ย
