With back to back wins, the Broncos have all but secured a Grand Final position, but a win to the Dragons has the competition blown open.

The Dragons have bounced back from a loss in style, beating the Warriors 22-10.

Superstar Jessica Sergis scored a try and saved two others to help her team to the win, while Honey Hireme and captain Kezie Apps were also standouts on the day.

The game started quickly, with a try to Illawarra Player of the Year Shakiah Tungai, who converted her own try after a smart and speedy intercept. The Dragons didn’t slow down, with Honey Hireme crossing the line just 4 minutes later and Rikaya Horne crossing early in the second half.

While a freakish bounce saw the Warriors on the scoreboard through Raquel Anderson-Pitman, a clever one-handed put down by Sergis saw the Dragons seal the deal.

Despite being without a win, the Roosters showed signs of improvement against a Broncos outfit with back to back wins.

To worsen the Roosters woes, captain Simaima Taufa is still battling her knee injury, and Ruan Sims will have to undergo scans after returning early from a broken thumb.

The scoring wasn’t opened until just before halftime when a dummy by halfback Ali Brigginshaw saw her get a line break and score the first try. It looked like the floodgates would open, after Fotu-Moala crossed just 5 minutes later to score the next try, but the Roosters held on.

While the Roosters defence and handling improved in the second half, they couldn’t stop Meg Ward from scoring. Skilful centre Isabelle Kelly scored late in the second half, but it was too late for a comeback.
