Preview

The action continues at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Tuesday evening with Hull FC taking on Huddersfield Giants, with both sides looking to bounce back from their respective defeats to Leeds and Salford last time out.

Andy Last has a host of first-team players returning to his 21-man squad with Jamie Shaul, Danny Houghton, Joe Cator, Masi Matongo and Ratu Naulago all having recovered from their respective injuries. Connor Wynne, Charlie Patterson Lund and Jude Ferreira all miss out.

Luke Robinson makes three changes from the side that was narrowly beaten by Salford last week, with Jordan Turner, Matty English and Robson Stevens coming back into the side. Sam Wood, Owen Trout and Dominic Young are the three players who make way.

Prediction

This is a tough one to predict. Hull claimed an impressive win against the Giants in late August, but Huddersfield’s recent resurgence makes them slight favourites in this one. The Airlie Birds stepped in for Castleford last week and produced a respectable performance given the circumstances but might not have enough to stop the Giants who have won three of their last four matches.
