Preview
A huge clash between hosts Warrington and play-off chasing Leeds concludes Tuesday’s Super League action. Both teams need the two points as they look to clinch a top-four finish, although the Rhinos also have this weekend’s Cup Final to prepare for.
The Wolves have opted to leave out Blake Austin, Mike Cooper, Jake Mamo and Joe Philbin with youngsters Eribe Doro, Ellis Longstaff, Josh Thewlis and Danny Walker all coming into the side as they look to snap a three-game losing run.
The Rhinos have named a young side for the trip to Cheshire having made 13 changes from the side that beat Hull FC. There is a potential debut in line for 16-year-old Levi Edwards who would become the club’s youngest ever player to feature in Super League should he play on Tuesday night.
Prediction
This one has a Warrington win written all over it with Leeds resting most of their first-team squad ahead of the Challenge Cup final on Saturday. Wire have been out of sorts of late, losing their last three matches, and will want to produce a good performance on home soil. The Rhinos look set to fall victim to the congested schedule but will still want to compete despite fielding a young side.
