Match Preview

Saints are aiming to secure their second win of the season against the Red Devils having triumphed in the opening round of fixtures and welcome fans into the Totally Wicked Stadium for the first time this season.

The champions make one change from last week’s Challenge Cup success against Huddersfield with Tommy Makinson ruled out through a foot injury and is replaced by Josh Simm who returns to the club after a short stint on loan at Leigh.

Salford make three changes after their agonising defeat to Castleford last weekend with Morgan Escare, Andy Ackers and Matt Costello all brought into the 21-man squad which means Dec Patton, Greg Burke and Elliot Kear miss out.

Prediction

St Helens by 12 points.
