MATCHDAY PREVIEW

Des Hasler returns to Belmore with his Titans fresh off the bye and ready to make amends for a dreadful opening round.

Kieran Foran looks set to return, also against his old side, as the Bulldogs look to nab their first win of the season.

The Titans were dreadful against the Dragons in round 1, their defensive grit missing and their attack lacklustre despite a decent completion rate.

The Bulldogs again impressed with their defence against the Sharks, despite two late tries blowing out the score. They’ve shown enough signs to say they are on the right path, which is what the Titans will be hoping to show on Saturday.

Matt Burton finally unleashed his running game against Cronulla and Viliame Kikau looked great, but something still seems to be missing in attack. They’ll want that to click at their spiritual home, but it all comes back to completion rate.

They barely saw the ball in round 1 yet made 13 errors, followed by 11 against the Sharks.

They’ve been unable to mount much pressure because of their own undoing and they’ll be punished again if they’re not careful.

In front of what will be a packed Belmore the ‘Dogs will be wanting to prove their critics wrong – as will Hasler.

Head-to-head stats can be found at Round 3 Number Crunch.

MATCHDAY PREDICTION

Bulldogs by 12 points.
