Canterbury Bulldogs have recruited Jack Cogger on a two-year deal from 2019.

The twenty-year old is the son of former Western Suburbs utility Trevor Cogger who played 161 games for the Magpies.

Jack Cogger has made eight appearances in the last two seasons with the Newcastle Knights.  The majority of his game time has been at the expense of rookie five-eighth Brock Lamb.  In last year’s Intrust Super Cup, Cogger scored three tries and was involved in ten try assists in his nine matches.

This signing is allows the Canterbury Bulldogs to find a halves partner for their star recruit, Kieran Foran.  Foran is contracted to the club until 2020.

There has been some speculation that Newcastle Knights cut ties with Cogger to allow him to continue his career at Belmore sooner.
