CHALLENGE CUP | Quarter-Final schedule announced

One Rugby League Championship side will advance through to the Challenge Cup semi-finals after the quarter-finals draw was announced this week.

Sixth placed Bradford Bulls will take on eighth placed Halifax RLFC in the final quarter-final tie at Odsal Stadium on Sunday June 2 with a 2:45pm kick-off. The two sides met on Good Friday at MBI Shay Stadium where the Bulls ran out 33-26 winners despite both sides scoring four tries.

The quarter-finals will kick off at KCOM Stadium on Thursday May 30 at 7:35pm when Hull FC face current title holders Catalans Dragons. Catalans have won three of the last five encounters against Hull FC, the latest coming two weeks back with the scoreline 37-6.

On Friday night Hull Kingston Rovers will face Warrington Wolves at KCOM Craven Park at 7:35pm. The Wolves will be looking to move one step further towards Wembley and win their first Challenge Cup since 2012.

Saturday’s fixture will see Wakefield Trinity travel to Totally Wicked Stadium and take on St Helens at 3:15pm. It will be an uphill battle for Trinity having only three times this decade against the more fancied Saints line-up.

The matches will be split between Sky Sport and the BBC, with the latter televising the Saturday and Sunday fixtures.
