The Dragons have been crying out for a genuine halfback for some time and this season Ben Hunt moved on big money to the club to fill that hole long term. Hunt has been instrumental in the red v’s campaign being a superb halves partner for Gareth Widdop in steering their stellar side, averaging 300 kick metres in an all improved confident kicking game. The halfbacks hand has been in everything this season creating 6 tries, 14 try assists with 11 line break assists and forcing 12 dropouts which in his first year at the Dragons is an incredible feat.
