Day-by-day breakdown

Thursday – 6, Friday – 5, Saturday – 10, Sunday – 3.

With 4 straight matches against 2019 finals teams first up – including the premiers and minor premiers – the Bunnies must put in the hard yards if they want a spot in the top 5 after these games. If they can win at home against the Sharks and Roosters and gain one of the away games in Brisbane or Melbourne, they will be sitting at 3-1, which will be a good start to the season.

The most memorable game for Souths last year was the epic 22-20 win in round 23 against the Broncos, with coach Wayne Bennett walking into the sheds high-fiving every single player.

Souths fire up early against the Broncos in a likely round two thriller in Brisbane and then back at home in round nine.

While Souths beat the Roosters twice in 2019, they were humbled in the most important game – the qualifying final – just a week after a very impressive round 25 win. Rounds 3 and 24 see Souths in tumultuous battles against the Roosters to avenge their finals loss.

The classic Good Friday clash is always a game to mark on your calendar, with Souths hosting the Bulldogs again. The Bulldogs will host the second fixture –  also at ANZ Stadium – in round 15.

Manly were the ones to look out for in 2019 – being the only side to beat Souths in the opening 11 rounds (13-12, round 4). However, Souths fought back in round 17 in a 1-point thriller. Get prepared for another battle in their only meeting in round 13 in 2020.

Their remaining seven games will be at Bankwest Stadium (two games), Cbus Super Stadium, Sunshine Coast Stadium, Central Coast Stadium, the SCG and WIN Stadium.
