It is a great weekend in general for rugby league fans in South East Queensland with 6 of the 7 Intrust Super Cup games to be played in Brisbane of the Gold Coast in addition to the Broncos on Friday night, and the Titans v Cowboys on Saturday night.

The Intrust Super Cup Round 4 has plenty of very interesting games on offer too, with two heavyweights taking each other on at Dolphin Oval on Saturday night, and plenty of great match ups around Round 4 this weekend.

Below is a short rundown of the games ahead, but for a full preview with teams and statistics follow the links for each game or visit our Intrust Super Cup Match Centre.

The weekend kicks off on Saturday afternoon at North Ipswich Reserve as the Jets host the Sunshine Coast Falcons who arrive with a very good away win against the Northern Pride in Cairns last weekend.

Down on the Gold Coast, the Burleigh Bears are looking for their first competition points, and welcome the Souths Logan Magpies who pushed the Hunters at Davies Park last weekend.

Staying on the Gold Coast, Tweed Heads will take to the Titans turf and be hoping a change of scenery brings a change of luck, as they play the Central Capras as the Curtain raiser to the NRL.

Back in Brisbane and Wynnum host the Mackay Cutters. Wynnum remain unbeaten after a good come from behind win against Tweed Heads, and Mackay will be looking to rebound after a heavy defeat to Townsville last weekend.

Their Bayside rivals host one of the big games of the weekend, as two premiership favourites Redcliffe and Townsville meet at Dolphin Oval on Saturday night.

A replay of the 2014 Intrust Super Cup Grand Final is to be played out in front of the Channel 9 cameras on Sunday afternoon as the Easts Tigers take on the Northern Pride. The Tigers saw off Redcliffe last weekend, whilst the Pride surprisingly lost at home to the Sunshine Coast Falcons.

The final game of the weekend is the only match not in the South East, and it is not even in the state of Queensland, as the PNG Hunters welcome 2017 surprise packets Norths Devils in Port Moresby.ย This looked an easy Hunters win on paper in previous seasons but Norths have started 2017 very well with consecutive wins over 2015 and 2016 premiers and a narrow 2 point to Townsville. The Hunters remain unbeaten.
