Matt Srama has retired from rugby league at the age of 26.

Srama has posted a video on Facebook confirming that doctors said ongoing knee problems would prevent him from playing rugby league again.

He thanked the fans for all the support during his time at the Titans.

Srama made his debut back in 2011 in a year where the clubย ran last. ย It was also the final season for Preston Campbell at the club.

Over the next five seasons Srama would appear in Titans colours sixty-five times, scoring seven tries.

Such was the potential, interest came from Sydney clubs with the Roosters initially signing him for the 2015 season before deciding to stay on the Gold Coast.

A hard working hooker with solid defence, Srama will be missed by the Titans.
