Wakefield have signed Danny Brough, Huddersfield look for youth and tries and London sign a number seven looking for a fresh start.
Wakefield make major signing
Wakefield have signed Danny Brough on a two year deal. The 35 year old rejoins his former team following eight years at Huddersfield, scoring 1811 points in that time.
The former Scottish International says he has unfinished business at Wakefield, saying, “I have a lot of unsettled business at Wakefield and I owe a lot to the fans after my previous spell at the club.”
The deal also sees Scott Grix, who has spent the last two seasons at Wakefield going in the other direction.

Huddersfield sign young Frawley
Matt Frawley has signed a two-year deal at Huddersfield Giants. Replacing the departing Brough, the up-and-coming halfback has played 31 times for NRL club Canterbury in a two-year spell at the club, scoring five tries.
However, he did play under Giants head coach Simon Woolford when he coached in the Canberra Raiders feeder system. Woolford on the signing said, “He’s still only young so he’s got some things to learn but we feel we can mould him into our team nicely and he will do a really good job.”
Uate makes move to Super League
Its been a busy week at the John Smith Stadium, with Akuila Uate signing this week. The Fijian international moves to West Yorkshire on a three-year deal.
The three-time winner of the Daily M winger of the year award, Uate has been a prolific try scorer wherever he has played, breaking the try scoring record at Newcastle Knights back in 2016 with 110 tries in 161 appearances.
London’s calling for Abdull
Jordan Abdull has left Hull FC to join the London Broncos on a one-year deal. This comes after the 22 year old requested to leave the club back in August. Leaving his boyhood club, Abdull had this to say, “I am delighted to be able to have a new opportunity in Super League down in the capital. It’s a big move for me and I’m looking forward to living and working in a new city. Hopefully I have a good year.”
The halfback played 54 times over his four years in the first team, scoring ten tries.
