Wakefield Trinity vs Catalans Dragons (Sat, 6:30pm)

Both of these sides have been impressive in recent weeks as they look to pull themselves away from the bottom four.

Wakefield are in the top half while Catalans are just two points behind them, following a demolition of Castleford in Perpignan last weekend.

Their away struggles were finally ended by a win at Leeds two weeks ago, but Trinity will be sterner opposition and they may just come up short.

Prediction: Wakefield Trinity 36-24 Catalans Dragons

Hull Kingston Rovers vs Salford Red Devils (Sun, 3:00pm)

Hull KR maintained their hopes of avoiding the Qualifiers with a big win over Huddersfield last week, and they face another huge game against close rivals as Salford visit Craven Park.

The Red Devils are a point ahead in the table but look less likely to make an escape, with just the one win in their last seven Super League games.

They showed fight at Warrington last week but will need quality to come out on top on Sunday afternoon, and I think that Hull KR will just have too much.

Prediction: Hull Kingston Rovers 32-16 Salford Red Devils

Castleford Tigers vs Leeds Rhinos (Sat, 3:30pm)

Brian McDermott’s reign at the Rhinos came to an end this week as a seventh consecutive Super League defeat saw the axe brought down.

Irony sees them now make the trip to Castleford, who remain steady in the top four under the stewardship of the favourite for the Leeds job, Daryl Powell.

Powell says he’s happy with the Tigers but he won’t have been so happy with the performance at Catalans last weekend. They need improvement, and you can just imagine Leeds coming into this one with freedom and ending their losing run.

Prediction: Castleford Tigers 20-28 Leeds Rhinos
