Wests Tigers announce new contract for Esan Marsters
Wests Tigers have announced the re-signing of their centre Esan Marsters for a further two seasons.
Marsters made his debut against St George-Illawarra Dragons on June 3, 2017 and has appeared for the Tigers on nineteen occasions. He made his first international appearance for the Cook Islands at the Pacific Test against Papua New Guinea on May 6 last year.
His personal tally of fourteen points in last weekend’s victory over Manly at Lottoland was his best point-scoring haul his short NRL career.
Ivan Cleary continues to build his side with young talent like Marsters a key to their future success. Cleary is renowned for investing in the junior systems at New Zealand Warriors and more recently at the Penrith Panthers.
“They gave me a chance to play first-grade here and I really want to pay them back by playing some good footy.”, Marsters told the Wests Tigers website.
Wests Tigers are looking to win their fourth on the trot when they take on Newcastle Knights at Scully Park in Tamworth this Saturday.
